Has anyone tried to build FreeRTOS with Crossworks 1.6?
Version 1.6 now has good support for AT91SAM7X and the SAM-ICE but so far I get memory exceptions during mem_init when creating semaphores.
RE: Rowley Crossworks version 1.6 & FreeRTOSPosted by Nobody/Anonymous on April 29, 2006 V1.5 is still showing as the latest version on the Rowley site. I will request an upgrade so I can take a look.
Regards.

I have just been given the V1.6 as an eval - try mpj____@____rowley_._co#.#uk (Michael Johnson). Off topic: I've just tried the web deom for the SAM7X and seem to have no vector table - when the initial process hits the first context switch - bang. Anyone found this before ?
RE: Rowley Crossworks version 1.6 & FreeRTOSPosted by Richard on May 11, 2006 Are you using V1.6? If so then as per this thread it is known not to work yet. You should not find the same problem in V1.5 which is being used by a lot of people. Hopefully support for V1.6 will be added very shortly.
Regards.
RE: Rowley Crossworks version 1.6 & FreeRTOSPosted by Nobody/Anonymous on May 12, 2006 Sorry about the eMail address - stupid, really I was using V1.6 as Rowley suggested it for supporting the SAM7X devices - Have I been lead away from the true path? An added complication may be - I'm using a Segger Jlink. The question I asked Rowley was how to build a product template for the 7X chip, as its Flash & Ram layout is different - at least bigger. I was pointed at the freeRTOS/BasicWEB demo. Does anyone else have a V1.5/SAM7X setup ? Oh, I,m Dave Kitchen by the way
RE: Rowley Crossworks version 1.6 & FreeRTOSPosted by Richard on May 12, 2006 Sorry, I'm a bit confused. You ask "Does anyone else have a V1.5/SAM7X setup?", does this mean you cannot get the SAM7X demo to work with V1.5? It should compile and execute exactly as downloaded.
If you have having problems with V1.5 can you say whether you have made any changes, and if not explain more about what the issue is. Thanks.
I understand from Rowley that the V1.6 version provides better support for the SAM7X chips, but I have not tried it yet. The demo will be updated for V1.6 eventually.
Regards.
