MSP430F5438 + FreeRTOS + CCS4

Posted by Gordon Wall on August 5, 2011
Trying to get the officially supported demo working for the TI MSP430F5438 and get the following message when trying to load in the project.

Error loading Managed Make project information for the project RTOS Demo.
The tool definitions used to create the project are not available.

And yes, followed all the instructions. The CreateProjectDirectoryStructure.bat
has been executed from command line etc.

Using latest versions: Code Composer Studio 4.1.2.00027 and FreeRTOS V7.0.1

I have never used this project, but

“The tool definitions used to create the project are not available.”

sounds like you don't have the tools needed to build the project installed on your computer.

Yes, the "Tools Needed" is obviously the problem. But I have no idea of what these tools are. The FreeRTOS site does not indicate anything needed other than the demo files and CCS4. Can someone with experience with this shed some light on what the problem might be.
