To give more detail: I've taken the CrossWorks MSP430F449 port and modified it for the F2619. I've switched to a 16MHz crystal and am using that to drive the timer A with the corresponding change in TACCR0 to 16000 (tick rate 1000).
I'm hoping that I've made a common blunder. Has anyone come across this symptom?
Regards, Jim.
RE: vTaskStartScheduler causes software restaPosted by Dave on September 2, 2009 Is the call to vTaskStartScheduler() returning? If so then you probably don't have enough heap space for the idle task to be created. The idle task is created automatically inside the vTaskStartScheduler() function. configTOTAL_HEAP_SPACE in FreeRTOSConfig.h sets the heap size if you are including heap_1.c or heap_2.c in your project.
RE: vTaskStartScheduler causes software restartPosted by viugamant on October 13, 2009 I'm facing a similar problem with CrossWorks port for msp430 (2619): as prvSetupTimerInterrupt return a restart is issued. This happen only with MSP-FET emulator, if I try with the core simulator the problem not arise. Thanks in advance for help......
RE: vTaskStartScheduler causes software restartPosted by viugamant on October 13, 2009 ......configTOTAL_HEAP_SPACE is 2800 I think this is not the cause
RE: vTaskStartScheduler causes software restartPosted by viugamant on October 14, 2009 Problem fixed. Selecting "msp430f2619" as "target processor" in project properties the ide turn in "msp430X" the "instruction set". Freertos does not support this extension. Reselect "msp430" as "instruction set" and the restart does not occur.
Thanks Fabio
